MV 34 – Oregon Clay 32 – Two quarter scrimmage at Toledo Central Catholic - Summary and first quarter highlights

Oregon Clay is a D-I school playing in the new Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC).  The Eagles struggled to a 4-16 record last year.  As their record indicates, Clay is a wrestling powerhouse.

Starting five – Dave Brown (’13), Rick Deichert (’12), Jared Sturt (’12), Jonathan Krueger (’12) and Julius Turner (’12)

The Hawks pulled out to an early lead in the game and rested their starters for much of the second quarter.  The whole team played in this preview at Toledo Central and gained valuable experience in holding off a late Clay charge at game's end.

Scoring for the Hawks - Julius Turner 9, Rick Deichert and Jon Krueger 6, Jared Sturt 4, Dave Brown 3, Thad Woodard and Rashaan 2, and Nick Towns and Marcus Knabbs 1.
