Bettsville Preview

Fast facts

Opponent: Bettsville
Enrollment (9-12): 183
Division/League: D-IV / Midland Athletic League
Team Nickname: Bobcats

Preview - The 'cats are suffering through a tough season thus far, going 4-12 on the year.  They do have victories over TAAC members Danbury and Northwood, but have also lost a game 98-18 to New Riegel (uh, sportsmanship?).

Bettsville is respectible on offense, averaging 47.5 ppg., but are defensively challenged, allowing 68.9 points per game.  They appear to play an inside game, and have only made 36 three pointers through 15 games (last week's stats are the most recent).  On defense, their problems appear to be quantity oriented - they have allowed a league leading 680 two point attempts.  They also have allowed opponents to shoot 34% from beyond the arc.  Bettsville suffers a 4.4 rebound per game deficit.

The Bobcats leading scorer is Dominic Miccichi, fourth in the Midland Athletic League averaging 15.8ppg - all from two point range - Dominic is also third in MAL rebounding with 10.9 pulls per game.  Their outside theat is Dominic (yikes, its the attack of the Dominics tomorrow) King who is T-15th in MAL scoring at 12.1ppg.  He's made 21 of his team's 36 three balls, and must be a 2 guard as he does not appear among the MAL assist leaders.
