MV JVs 45 - Danbury 19

December 13, 2013 - Varsity Gym

The future of Maumee Valley basketball continues to look brighter.  The JVs' won their second consecutive game, defeating Danbury 45-19 Friday evening.

The young Hawks continue to improve, playing their best all around game of the season.  MV was up 26-17 at half time, then shut out the Lakers for almost the entire second half.

Let's go to the video:

Jack Herrmann steals the ball and Jeremy Anderson is fouled finishing up.

Nick Isaza casually drains a three pointer

Tim Zeller also fires in a trey

And closing things out is Trevor Reed, cleaning up on the offensive boards.

All Videos Delayed Until Tomorrow

Your Hawkblogger apologizes for the fact that his primary computer is being replaced this evening and therefore, no videos will be available until tomorrow morning.

On the good side, your Hawkblogger did capture the Julius Turner behind the back pass to Jared for the dunk.  So stay tuned for that.

Hawk JVs 52 - Danbury 18 quick summary and videos

The JVs put it to their Laker counterparts this evening 52-18.  It was never a contest, as the home team led 9-0 after one quarter, and the rest was history.

Lots O' Scorin' for the JV's during the evening.  Rashaan Preston was the man this evening, scoring 15.  Danny Hazimah and Nick Towns had 6, Kadar Jones 5, Solomon Collins and Thad Woodard 4, Marcus Knabbs, Turner Booth, Rob Ariss, Jeremy Anderson, Zain Bedi and Lucas Isaza all had 2 apiece.

Here are your video highlights:

First, Rashaan Preston goes strong to the rack

Next, Rob Ariss faces up to the basket and knocks it down

Here, Nick Towns saves a ball to Thad Woodard

Zain Bedi makes a big guy move to the basket.

Turner Booth stays just enough under control to make the basket.

Finally, it wouldn't be a Hawk game story without delivering the Trueth (even though the basket was waived off  for a floor foul - C'mon Ref, where's the continuation??)

About that video...and an apology

Your Hawkblogger will go contrarian on current HawkNation buzz and say for the record that the OH spirit video was witty and well done.

MV should come up with a TASTEFUL answer next time out.  That's what High School sports are all about.

APOLOGY - Your Hawkblogger's for-profit business activites have recently gotten in the way of the much more important business of blogging, but the weekend and the seven day stretch between games now will provide a much needed opportunity to catch up on full game stories, et. al.  Keep checking in over the weekend.
