Woodmore is a Division III school which played in the now-defunct SLL last year. They went 10-10 and 6-6 in their league. It looks like they only lost two seniors from their main rotation last year, so many letter winners are back for the summer.
The Hawks jumped on the Wildcats early and never looked back, leading 44-11 at the half on the strength of 11 points by Dave and 9 by Julius. MV rolled out a man press midway through the half to break the game open. Woodmore also struggled against MV’s superior height.
Of note – when your Hawkblog editor left the building today, Woodmore was holding their own with City League D-II Waite.
