CCHS 6.9.11 - Maumee Valley 71 - Monroe St. Mary's CC 42 summary

Monroe Michigan St. Mary’s Central Catholic finished 22-4 last year and advanced to the Michigan Class C (equivalent to Ohio Division III) state quarterfinals.  They graduated a senior all-state guard, but several other members returned for summer play. 

MV built a commanding 43-16 lead against SMCC at the half.  Your Hawkblogger arrived too late to the game to record the individual scoring, but watched the Hawks move the ball around the old Central Catholic gym with ease and regularly hold SMCC to one shot per possession. 

Coach Carter Bayer ’10 moved to 4-0 in league play with the win.
