The girls finished a tough week against two veteran opponents on Saturday. Ottawa Hills featured 1,000 point scorer Lauren Abendroth and several other experienced players.

Others playing for the Hawks on Saturday included Yazmine AbdulKarim (’11), Karla Luketic ('11), Jordan Baker ('14) and Cammie Lonsway ('14).
Both teams started out in man-to-man defense, with OH switching to a 2-3 zone later in the quarter. The zone proved effective and OH scored on several takeaways. First half action was again unkind to the Hawks, but some better play took place in the third and fourth quarters.
Before we go to the video highlights, I'd point out that the next five games (EC, Danbury, Northwood, Cardinal Stritch and Monclova) provide several opportunities for Maumee Valley to improve their record. The Hawks finish 2010 with a 2-4 record.
